Andrea Keesey holds a Master’s degree in English from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Saskatchewan. She has experience in curriculum development, health care communications, grant facilitation, and knowledge translation. Most recently, Andrea was Project Coordinator at the B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. She previously worked as a Communications Coordinator at the Royal Society of New Zealand in Wellington, where she was engaged in a variety of outreach and education activities.Andrea joined the UBC CPD team in August 2011 and is Project Manager for the Rural Continuing Professional Development program. In this capacity she facilitates the development of continuing education programs for rural physicians and other rural health care professionals. She also contributes to the many ongoing education, research, and evaluation activities at UBC CPD, including the Dementia Education Strategy.In her spare time Andrea enjoys road biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, and playing ringette and hockey.
