AccreditationFor physicians, accreditation of continuing medical education/continuing professional development (CME/CPD) activities allows official recognition of their participation in educational activities. Accreditation also ensures participants that CME/CPD activities in which they enroll meet high educational standards. For the organizer, it may make it easier to facilitate enrollment and obtain sponsorship.Application forms can be found here.
Revalidation and CPDAs of January 1 2010, all licensed physicians in BC must participate in a recognized revalidation process in which they demonstrate their commitment to continued competent performance in a framework that is fair, relevant, inclusive, transferable, and formative. Conference and Meeting ManagementUBC Division of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has been organizing and managing medical conferences and events for more than 30 years. As a comprehensive conference service provider, UBC CPD is able to offer a full range of conference management services
CPD Advisory CommitteeThe Advisory Committee comprises CPD representatives from all Faculty of Medicine Departments and Schools and provides input into UBC CPD policies and programs. Its role is to ensure that the CPD Office is responsive to the needs of faculty as both consumers and deliverers of CPD. The Advisory Committee also provides a venue where Committee members are updated on continuing education events and issues, which the members in turn convey to their Department or School as appropriate.
