Computer Specifications
What do I need to download to make the Mediasite presentation work and how long will it take?
The Mediasite Player recommends the following system requirements for the best viewing experience:
- Display resolution of 800x600 pixels or greater - Sound card - Broadband Internet connection (256Kbps or more)
PC’s
- Microsoft® Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Windows Vista - Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later or Firefox® 2.0 or later - Windows Media® Player 9.0 or later
Macs
- Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later - Safari™ 2.0.4 or later or Firefox 2.0 or later - Microsoft Silverlight 1.0* - www.silverlight.net
*If Mediasite does not detect Silverlight on your Mac when viewing a presentation, you will be automatically prompted to install the plug-in. Silverlight only needs to be installed once and will then be available for watching any future Mediasite presentations.
If not prompted, Silverlight is available here: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx You need to download and then install it (can take 10-15 minutes).
