Conference Overview:
This conference has had a long and successful history with dedicated support from the Department of Family Practice – Vancouver General Hospital. This event runs without any pharmaceutical involvement and we are happy to be hosting the 47th anniversary of this popular family medicine review.
Attendance numbers have grown significantly over the years, reaching approximately 350 participants last year. Here are some comments from past attendees: “This is the best meeting of all. I have been to well over 20 of them since the mid or late 70s” “Great speaker with practical info for GPs. Enjoyed the afternoon sessions - opportunity for interaction with colleagues” “Excellent conference as usual” “Great food and venue! Keep up the good work. You have hit the nail on the head” “Excellent speakers. Syllabus info really helps as resource for office use!” “The topics are current and were presented by very good speakers”
This comprehensive three-day review course offers an update of knowledge central to the practice of family medicine in both rural and urban settings. Committed to addressing everyday practical issues, speakers present equally on current and special areas of concern to the primary health care professional.
To complement a morning of group lectures, afternoons include a series of elective interactive workshops which allow conference attendees to customize their learning experience.
