Conference Overview:
This year our annual conferences will run concurrently.  Note there are two registration forms within the brochure file. Register for the conference you plan to attend primarily and then feel free to move between plenary sessions and workshops during the day!

The 8th Annual Hot Topics in Cardiology
This 1-day annual conference hosted by the UBC Division of Cardiology will provide an update on key aspects of management of cardiovascular disease, with an  emphasis on what’s new in the field relevant to the care of  patients with cardiovascular disease.
This annual update has had consistent high reviews from attendees for its high quality,  unbiased, comprehensive program.
Target Audiences: General Internists, Specialists, Family Physicians


14th Annual Respiratory Medicine Update
Please join us again for an accredited update on respiratory topics. This full day will provide you with a comprehensive update featuring world renowned and local speakers.
Target Audience: Family Physicians, General Practitioners, RT's,  Nurses, Residents, and Medical Students.



Cost: Same fee to attend either conference.

You can try to make a general reservation by calling:  1 800 207 4150, however  this   conference is not 'in the system'  so we suggest trying to find the best rate in  the city. There are plenty of hotels in  close vicinity.

Accreditation:
The University of British Columbia Division of Continuing Professional Development (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) to provide study credits for continuing medical education for physicians.  As well, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education of the United States (ACCME) maintains a reciprocity relationship with CACME which the American Medical Association (AMA) recognizes for the purpose of allowing Canadian medical schools the ability to certify activities for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM and to award such credits to eligible physicians. This program has been reviewed and approved by the UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development.  UBC CPD designates this educational program as meeting the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 8.25 Mainpro M1 credits.  This program is an Accredited Group Learning Activity eligible for up to 8.25 MOC Section 1 credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This program also meets the accreditation criteria for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM credits toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. 

Each physician should claim only those credits he/she actually spent in the activity.

Please do register for the conference you plan to attend the most. Also only the Respiratory conference has workshop selection in advance. The Cardiology conference concurrent sessions will both repeat so everyone attending the Cardiology sessions will be able to hear both concurrent sessions.
