Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Conference

Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Conference
September 09, 2011 - September 10, 2011
Location Vancouver
Conference Overview

*Registration for this event is now closed. Please sign up onsite.

Caring for children’s developing eyes and visual system is an exciting challenge! Every two years in Vancouver, we meet to refresh and update our approach to practical problems and to learn about the latest developments in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus.

This year, the important issues we plan to address will include among others: prematurity, non-accidental injury,  congenital cataract, Third World eye care and public Health as well as the burgeoning knowledge arising from our expanding understanding of genetics and its clinical implications.  The conference format will promote interaction, with question periods at the end of each talk. Also, clinical pediatric and strabismus case presentations will highlight specific problems in strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology at the start of each session and at the end of the conference .

This year, we have invited an exciting group of international speakers acknowledged to be leaders in their field. Our guests will share their special insights with us over this 2-day conference. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a memorable learning opportunity!
